Grass - Day 151
I went out today and spent about 2 hours taking pictures. I will actually post a few of the good pictures here over the next few days. Basically, I am going to spend a few hours taking pictures and then post them over the next days, since I don't have a huge amount of time during the week to take pictures. I know that this is cheating, but I take much better pictures when I can actually spend time taking the pictures.

Boulder Again - Day 145
I have pictures with better images of the mountains, but this one is just so freaking cool. The mountains just look fake, because of the snow and the haze in the air. I kept the cars in just because it gives a more surreal feel to the image.

Snowboarding - Day 144
We did some Olympics in out neighborhood. I tried out the new camera in Sports mode, which was quite cool. I took about 290 pictures. While this isn't the best, it is a pretty good example of what I accomplished. I could have overexposed them a bit more. Which I knew about, but didn't pay attention too. I was the official timer also, so taking pictures was a secondary responsibility.
Jumping Rope - Day 143
Today we spent a lot of time jumping rope. We had lots of contests on who could go the longest and who could do the most in a set amount of time. I am not good at it.

Huron River - Day 142
I stopped the car and got out to take a bunch of these pictures. Partially frozen river with sun. Anytime there is sun, the camera should come out.
Wildlife at Work - Day 141
We see deer at work a lot. I thought I would capture them on camera. I was hoping that I could get a little closer, but they were getting a little freaked out by the camera noise.

Someone Else's Dog - Day 135
This is the best of the group of pictures that I took of my work-mate's dog, which were the only pictures that I took the other day. This is actually out of order. I think that it was on day 132 or something.
Crab Boy in the Morning on Day 134
I am starting to take pictures all of the time. Just to take pictures. So, here is Crab Boy sitting on the couch, about 30 minutes after "waking up".

Depth of Field - Day 130
Another experiment. I am reading a book on how to take pictures, and I just read about depth of field. I did not really realize how to do this before. I just used to use the macro setting on my point and shoot, but there is no macro setting on my new camera. f/5.0, ISO 800 and exposure 1/20s.

Ice Skating Party - Day 129
I honestly wasn't very happy with any of the pictures that I took today. But, I am learning. This is probably the most focused picture of the day. Not the best, but the most focused. Sad.
Yet Another Tree at Night - Day 128
It took me a whole bunch of tries to get this right. I didn't use automatic this time! The exposure time was 1 second with f/5.6. ISO 400. I promise that I will stop taking pictures of trees at night!

Trees in the Morning - Day 127
I wandered outside at about 7:30 this morning in the butt-cold to take this picture. I need to learn how to do some manual settings before I get these pictures perfect.

Ceiling Fan - Day 126
This is an experiment with the camera. I wanted to get the fan blades in motion. I think that this is pretty good. It is dark, which you would expect, but I think that it also turned out OK. I actually edited one of the big holes in the ceiling out, which was interesting.

First Picture From the New Camera - Day 123
This is the absolute first picture that I took. I love my new camera. It is a Canon Rebel XSi Digital SLR. I have to figure out how to use it....
Clouds From an Airplane - Day 122
Before I took this picture, I saw three airplanes fly in the opposite direction very quickly. I love the look of clouds from the top.
