Tech Perfection

I don't need an iPhone.  The HTC Hero is good enough for me!  With that and my MacBook Pro, I will be happy forever!

Camera War!

The dueling cameras!

Pie Be Good!

I didn't take this picture, obviously, but I thought it was the best one of the day.  Me making an ass of myself, wearing an uber-geek tee-shirt.

Crab Boy

I took a bunch of pictures of Crab Boy's cast in close-up and some of him.  I think that this was the best of the bunch.

Sky

I would like to take some nice pictures of the sky.  Here is my first attempt.  It looks better as it gets larger, I think.

Lost Picture

Somewhere along the line I missed a picture.  So, here is a bonus picture from before the land was completely frozen over - just a little frozen over. I will try to upload pictures more often, so I can better keep track of the days!

Boy in Pain

Crab Boy broke his wrist ice skating today!  Yikes!  This is him at the hospital not looking too happy.

Das Boot

Can you guess whose ornament this is?

Hairy

CrabGirl has decided to braid her hair before bed now.

Chimney

This was taken with my camera phone while stopped at a light.

Moscone at Night

I took this with my new phone's camera.  I did not expect it to turn out at all, but I think that it is fantastic.  The Moscone Center is just a beautiful building.

Interesting Menu

I tried to get the bright spot off, but I am not very adept at painting over stuff.  I have to figure out how to do this stuff.

Another View

The clouds just work with this.  Then, a bird flies across the picture.  How cool is that?

A Funky Building

This is the Contemporary Jewish Museum, which got a lot of press because of the crazy shape of the building.  I have to say that it is a bit strange.  But, it is tucked out of the way, so few people randomly encounter this side of the museum.  Too bad.

A View From the Top, pt. 2

It still looked nice in the morning!  The bottom left is the S.F. Museum of Modern Art.  Bottom right is the conference center.

A View From the Top, pt. 1

When I asked if I could get a room on the top floor of the Marriott, they said, sure!  Holy crap!

Snow!

Our first snow of the year!

Building and Moon

This is a nice symmetric building, which I love, but with the moon over it, it is super cool.

New Cell Phone Camera

A little blurry, but a good picture.  Camera doesn't seem to do too well in low light.  Oh well.

The Band

This is about 1/3 of the combined marching band with a bunch of high school band students with them.

Frozen Fish Pond

The fish pond froze over last night, and this is what some of the ice looks like.  It is due to the pump spraying water over the rocks.

Clock Tower

Another not so great picture.  But, this is my view every MWF as I walk to class.  I thought I would share it.

Bike

Yesterday I made time to take a bike ride.  It was short, only about 25 minutes, but enough to get my heart going.

Dog #2

Here is dog #2.  AKA Yellow Dog.

Math

This is what Crab Girl and I do every night.  Fun times!

Bad Tire! Bad!

Stupid thing to do: when you total your car and save your brand new rims and tires, don't try to use them on your new (to you) car.  Even if they are the same size.  The big problem is that the lug nuts are not designed for the rims.  Since one car is (sort of ) American and one car is (definitely) Japanese, so the lug nuts are all the wrong size.  Well, this might not be right, but the threads were wrong, so I couldn't use the right lug nuts.  Anyways, the wheels almost came off the car.  Nice.  Don't tell my wife.

Shelves

Crab Mama wanted shelves in the "bike closet", so we went to Lowes and searched around for some shelves.  We looked around but didn't see anything that we liked, but we found a bunch of scrap lumber - two boards for 10 cents each and two for 25 cents each.  It took me a couple of hours to cut down the wood and put everything together, but they should each hold a couple of hundred pounds.  Pretty good for 70 cents.

Doggy Number 1

This is Scaredy-Dog.  She is much better after a few years of no abuse, but she is still a bit skittish around men.  She is a very good dog, though.  And pretty too.

Pot Pie

This is better than last night.

Thanksgiving

Turkey, potatoes, carrots, rolls, sweet potatoes and gravy.  Um.

The Birdfeeder

This is a birdfeeder that is outside of my office window.  There are an insane number of birds.

What is this?

This is obviously an exhaust vent.  What is it exhausting?  Hmmm....

Statue

I have decided that I should post more interesting structures around this great city of ours.  So here is another one.

Caught up

This is probably one of the better pictures that I have taken, in my opinion.  I love how the forest looks in the mist.  The small horizontal branches in the foreground are pretty cool too.

Rocket Boy

Fill a bottle full of air, pull the cord and Whamo - the rocket goes 50 feet into the air.  Repeat.  Again.

Here is a hint

I really like the architecture. It is not a great picture, but I may try for a better one in the summer when there is more light.

Statue in Ann Arbor

Guess where this is?

November 18

Which face are you?

November 17

WTF is this?

November 16

One of the bears of Bern.  This one is Finn.  Because he came from Finland.

November 15

This was our view from our hotel room in Bern on the only sunny day we were there.

November 14

These smurfs are on sale at the same place that sells bongs.  Coincidence?  I think not.

Bag Gas

Of all of the 252 pictures Crab Girl and I took today, this one makes me laugh the most.  Does that make me childish?  I thought so.

A pretty lion

Here is a pretty, pretty lion that Crab Girl knitted while in Switzerland!  Isn't it pretty!

The hands of justice

There is nothing more bad ass than a chick with a sword.  Except maybe a blindfolded chick with a sword.  The hands of justice are indeed swift.

Yes, he is eating a baby

And he has more strapped on to his back for later.

Bikes at Night

When we got out of the meeting, it was dar already (5:00), so we couldn't get any good pictures.  This one sucks, but it shows roughly how many bikes are parked in the bike parking lot.  There are about 5 rows of these bikes, and then a bunch more on the side of the road.  I will try for a better picture tomorrow morning.
