Crab Boy - Day 304

I love that the kids just totally ignore me when I grab the camera and start taking pictures.  The autofocus on this lens sucks.  It is very slow and I don't think that it does a very good job.  But it was a cheap lens that gets me an f-stop of 1.8, which is extremely nice.  This was taken without a flash, at night.  I find that just amazing.

    I also have a weak spot for fast prime lenses.
    In fact, I'd say that about 90% of the pictures I shoot with my DSLR are taken with such a lens.

    Thanks for the comment. I have been trying to do this on a budget, so have been cutting corners a bit. The lens one step up from mine made the list, which is good - it cost 3.5 times as much too. So I am happy with the lens. I just always want more without paying for more!!!
