Raptors

Crab Girl and I went to the Leslie Science Center today.  We were supposed to go to a Photography class on Raptors.  When we got there, we couldn't find where we were supposed to go.  It turns out that it is next week!  So, we ended up taking pictures of the raptors anyways.  It wasn't ideal, because they were all behind fences, which ended up causing the pictures to be washed out.  But I think that some of the pictures turned out pretty good.  We'll probably have more next week.

Delapidated Barn #11

This is a very sad barn, on the verge of collapse.

Tree Farm Barn #10

This barn is right next door to the beautiful barn.  I love its angled edges and the half painted front.  I am pretty surprised how many barns are half painted.  It seems like people decide to paint their barns and run out of time/money/energy before they get very far in the process, making a unique building.

Modern Barn #9

This looks like an extremely expensive barn that houses only the best horses (no pigs).  This is really a beautiful barn.  Very unlike many of its brethren.

Brick Barn #8

I don't think that I have ever seen a brick barn before, but I ran across this one yesterday while driving around.  I really like the tones and colors in the barn.  Before I started the barns (but after I pretty much had finished the 365 project), I was smoothing things with Photoshop, but these barns shouldn't been smoothed.  They are very gritty and grainy.  Most of the pictures are in great focus, because they are taken during the day with lots of clouds, so you can get plenty of diffuse light, so the graininess is all part of the barn, which is very nice.

Painted Barn #7

The main barn is much better, but there is a pole right in front of the main painting and electric wires strung across the entire front face, which is quite sad.  This is really the best picture.  I really like the dilapidated silo in the background, too.

Metaphysical Barn #6

We pass this barn everyday.

Scary Barn #5

This is totally out of Silence of the Lambs.
