Lamp - Day 182

This is the lamp directly outside of my hotel room.

Airplane - Day 181

On my way to Woods Hole I stopped to shoot a couple of pictures of some airplanes.

Birds - Day 180

This is the first version of the picture, which is very clear, but boring.  Below is the second version of the picture, which is not clear, but much more adventurous.

Tornado! Day 179

This is from the Hands-On Museum.

Dorm Life - Day 178

Remember the days?

Undergraduate Classroom - Day 177

This is the classroom that I spent many many many hours in while taking classes as an undergrad.

Aerocomm 900 Mhz Radio - Day 176

This is for the balloon package. Only the little blue thing gets launched.  Well, the antenna gets launched too.  The green board is a development board, which is left on the ground.

Into the Light - Day 175

Another overexposed shot.  This time looking up into an overhead lamp.

Up, Up and Away - Day 174

This is super-overexposed.  In the original, you basically can't see the balloon and the packages.  I am quite happy with it, though, since after playing with the color and contrast, I got this.

Clouds, again - Day 173

It is amazing how underexposing will cause a normal, beautiful day to look dark and ominous.  I love dark and ominous.  And clouds.  Can you tell?

Boy, in swamp - Day 172

Continuing along the lines of publishing pictures of kids that are not mine.

Shield - Day 171

His piercing eyes are just fantastic.  I really like this picture.

River - Day 170

I took a lot of pictures of this side of the river and facing the other way.  This was the best.  I tried to artistic and stuff, but, what can you do with brown?

Uni - Day 169

A unicycle. To work.  Really?

Watch Cord - Day 168

How boring is this?

Red Skies at Night - Day 167

This probably doesn't need much explanation.

The Straight and Narrow - Day 166

Ok, to be honest, a few of the pictures from the last few days have been of a single building here on campus.  I took an hour out of my day and took a million pictures.  Some are good.  Here is another:

Spinning - Day 165

This is for spinning clumps of fur into yarn.

Self Portrait - Day 164

I am a ghost!

Double Vision - Day 163

A wall of windows.  Cool.

More Safety - Day 162

Firevalues.  Very important things!

Construction Season - Day 161

The joke is that in Michigan there are four seasons, Cold, Colder, Coldest, and Construction.  It is official, Construction is here!

Safety First - Day 160

When ripping a capacitor off of the camera's flash, ground your wire cutters.

Spider Fight - Day 159

I got these "spiders" in Chile for something like $1.50 each.  They are UberCool.  And they like to fight.

Harry Potter - Day 158

I made a new light box today.  This is one of the pictures that I took in the box.  Sadly, this isn't how the picture looked.  It was much more yellow/creamy. The auto-color corrected this really well, though, so I am not too worried about it.  I do have to figure out why the color is too yellow, though.  I am using compact florescence, though, so I would think that it would be less yellow.  Hmmm.

A Walk in the Woods - Day 157

This is the last picture that I took at the end of our walk.  I would definitely say that it is the best of the day.

On the Way to Work - Day 156

I rode my bike to work today and stopped to take some pictures along the road.  This is the nicest turn along Huron Rive Drive.

Barn - Day 155

I took this on Sunday along with about 100 other pictures of this barn.  None of them turned out spectacular, but this one was pretty ok.

Bike - Day 154

This is a statue downtown.  Blown out.  Actually a pretty boring picture.  But, not.

Death and All Her Friends - Day 153

I like this headstone.  It is simple and beautiful.  Someday, I may have one too!

A Few Pictures - Day 152

Ok, I lied.  I stopped to take some pictures on the way home.  The sun was setting, and I couldn't resist stopping.  Then, when I got home, CrabBoy had a green hand, and it was suggested that we document that green hand.  After which, CrabGirl wanted her hair documented.  So, I bring forth, unto you, "Sunset", "GreenHand" and "Hair".
